REPUBLIC OF SUDAN.

The Company has been active in Sudan for a number of years and as a result has built-up good relationships with various Sudanese government departments. In association with local advisors the Company has been evaluating a number of projects/targets.

GOLD MINING IN SUDAN

*Sudan is Africa’s third largest gold producer.

*In 2025 a record 70 tons of gold was produced in Sudan.

* Sudan is unusual as it mining industry is dominated by around 40,000 small scale artisanal miners who produce around 85% of Sudanese gold.

*The Sudanese gold industry lacks investment and the use of modern mining techniques/equipment. As a result, local processing of gold ore only extracts on average 30% of the recoverable gold.

* Also in operation in Sudan is the KARTA system. Miners package-up gold ore in 50kg bags and sell to processors according to the gold grade.

* In addition, waste rocks still containing gold (Tailings) are sold to more advanced gold processing facilities.

*The Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources Ltd. is the governmental supervisory mechanism over mining resources in Sudan, and it is the authority concerned with monitoring the mining sector, legalizing and regulating traditional mining, tightening the environmental safety program and establishing social responsibility projects.
